E.L.Brumby

When South Australian writer E.L.Brumby was young...
...she asked her mother if the good guys always won. She was told about impalement and handed a book about the severed heads of Bluebeard’s wives. Far from traumatised, Brumby picked up a pen and has used it to rip characters apart ever since.
She coped with the yawning expanse of new adulthood by locking herself in a small room to hone her craft. By the end of her Advanced Diploma of Writing at the Adelaide College of the Arts, she was bracing herself to become the next big thing. Life laughed and tipped its martini.
15 years later, ‘Emily’s Remains’ is her first published work and an exciting step toward achieving her life-long dream. She’s currently working on YA Science Fiction novel and various works of short fiction.
When she’s not writing, Brumby tortures (ahem, teaches) TikTok-addled teens English and History and indoctrinates her two children with ghoulish tales.
If you can’t find her, check the speculative fiction section of the bookshop - she heard there was an interdimensional portal.
